- Equipment and ventilation scope, if you know it
- Target move-in date
- Whether design is complete or design-build is needed
Common questions
As early as possible — ideally at schematic design. HVAC equipment carries the longest lead times on the job and the ductwork drives the above-ceiling coordination. The earlier we can run block loads and release equipment, the less lead time threatens your date.
Packaged rooftop units, VRF/VRV systems, custom air handlers, and large exhaust and makeup-air units. On a compressed schedule these are ordered off preliminary drawings and refined later by change order if needed.
Yes — energy-code compliance documentation, mechanical acceptance testing by a certified technician, test and balance with a certified report, and coordination with a third-party commissioning agent when the project requires one.
Yes. We build from a design team’s mechanical construction documents, or we can provide design-build HVAC — load calcs, equipment selection, duct design and Title 24 — under one contract with the installation.
Possibly. A change of occupancy classification or an increase in occupant load can raise the required outside-air rate and the exhaust requirements. We check the proposed use against the current adopted energy and mechanical codes at design.
